Custom E-Tune Update
Added new parts to your build? Make sure your calibration evolves with it.
The Bonestock Builds Custom E-Tune Update is designed for existing tuning customers who have made changes to their vehicle and need their current calibration revised and fine-tuned around the new setup.
Bonestock Builds has teamed up with @StewTuned86, utilizing his 20 years of experience in the automotive performance and tuning industry to provide custom calibration services focused on performance, drivability, and properly integrating each new modification into the overall combination.
Adding a new performance part doesn't always mean starting the entire tuning process over—but it may mean your existing calibration needs to be adjusted.
Whether you've changed your intake, intercooler, exhaust, boost-control hardware, or another supported component, this service allows StewTuned86 to review the new configuration, analyze fresh datalogs, and make the appropriate adjustments to your existing tune.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
• Review of your newly installed modifications
• Review of your existing calibration
• Updated base calibration where required
• New datalog review and analysis
• Calibration revisions for the new components
• Boost-control refinement where applicable
• Fueling and ignition adjustments where applicable
• Airflow and load calibration adjustments where applicable
• Part-throttle and drivability refinement as needed
• Final calibration once the updated combination has been properly dialed in
WHEN DO I NEED A TUNE UPDATE?
A tune update may be appropriate when adding or changing components such as:
• Intake systems
• Intercoolers
• Charge pipes
• Headers
• Approved exhaust components
• Boost-control hardware
• Bypass or blow-off valve configurations where applicable
• Other airflow-related modifications
• Certain fuel-system upgrades
• Other supported modifications that affect the existing calibration
Not every modification requires recalibration. If you're unsure whether your new parts require a tune update, contact Bonestock Builds before purchasing.
HOW IT WORKS
Provide us with your existing tune information and a complete list of what has changed since your previous calibration.
StewTuned86 will review the new combination and determine what areas of the calibration need to be revised.
You'll then perform the requested datalogs so the new components can be evaluated under actual operating conditions.
New Parts → Calibration Update → Datalog → Review → Revision → Final Calibration
The goal isn't simply to make the vehicle "work" with the new parts. The calibration is refined so the new components can be properly integrated into the overall setup.
THIS IS NOT A FULL RE-TUNE
This service is intended for existing customers making incremental changes to an already completed custom calibration.
Major changes—including an upgraded turbocharger, significant engine modifications, major fueling changes, switching tuning platforms, or combinations requiring extensive recalibration—may require a new Custom E-Tune rather than a Tune Update.
Additional Fuel / Flex Fuel calibration may also require the appropriate add-on service.
If the extent of your modifications is unclear, contact Bonestock Builds before purchasing and we'll help determine which tuning service applies.
BEFORE PURCHASING
Your newly installed components must be installed correctly and the vehicle must be mechanically sound before datalogging begins.
Boost leaks, exhaust leaks, wiring problems, failing sensors, fuel-system issues, or other mechanical problems may need to be corrected before calibration revisions can continue.
Performance results are not guaranteed and will vary based on the modification, vehicle configuration, fuel, mechanical condition, and environmental conditions.
Custom tuning must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Emissions-related equipment and diagnostic systems will not be disabled where prohibited by law.
